Derya Yücel
Curator, art writer, a member of AICA Turkey (International Association of Art Critics). She completed her Art Management BA (2006), Museum Studies MA (2010) and Art History PhD (2022) She worked as a lecturer at Istanbul Kultur University between 2006-2017. She has been working at Istanbul Bilgi University Art and Cultural Management Department since 2009 Derya Yücel is director of exhibition projects of Sabancı University KASA Gallery since January 2015, She is working as an independent curator since 2004 and some of these projects are “Korea-Turkey Contemporary Art Exchange exhibitions” Incheon/Seoul/Istanbul 2006-2007, “Save As” Milano Trienale Bovisa Italy ( 2008), “28. She curated the 4th Mardin Biennial, which took place in May 2018, together with Nazlı Gürlek and Fırat Arapoğlu. She was the consultant of the industrial heritage "Cendere Sanat", which was restored and re-functionalized by İBB Heritage, and curated the opening exhibition “Witness of the Flow” with Ebru Yetişkin and Marcus Graf.

Her books include New Media Art and New Museology (2012), Nil Yalter Artist Monography (2013), İrfan Önürmen Artist Monography (2015), Semiha Berksoy: Cataloque Raisonne (2017), Ali Alışır Artist Book (2019) and Nadide Akdeniz Artist Book (2020). Many artist and exhibition catalogues, compilation books, and articles on art have been published in printed/digital media.
